The CGR Radio is a specific target radio network(serving the visually impaired,disabled and seniors)in Clark County Washington providing news,information,book-newspaper and magazine readings done by in home volunteers, which involves and provides timely information and such for those who cannot read or hold material, and serving those specifically between 49-90 with disabilities.
Soon CGR Radio Network will be under a local 501c3 "umbrella of operation and partnering with that 501c3 org"...
It will be part of a public benefit non-profit organization providing: Education, Information and Entertainment directed to people with disabilities (primarily vision impaired persons) and older individuals who would enjoy the variety of "Webcasting" that we offer..
CGR will act as a local community based audio/radio information service..
Education will be provided by partnering with the current long distance learning curriculum providers and the development of new curriculum programs. Assistive technology training and many other educational opportunities will be available.
Information will be provided through partnerships and direct web site links to existing providers.
Entertainment will be a offered through partnerships, web site links and original programming. We will show case a variety of talent from the disabled community and older members of our community. We ensure the content we provide will meet all ADA (American Disabilities Act) requirements.
CGR..is a radio reading and information service for those who are unable to read traditional printed material, the physically disabled and senior citizens. CGR is on the air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week AND is FREE..
NO membership or password nor filling out an application is required like most services..
The listeners generally range in age from 49-90, but all ages are represented. Some listeners are totally blind; however, many have less severe visual impairments or are otherwise disabled.
CGR..also features "Old Time Radio" and airs works of literature, non-fiction, westerns and children's books.
CGR advocates for the visually-impaired community's access to audio information services and they are citizens within a democracy and deserve to have access to our public discussion and other programming on CGR Radio..
CGR is pleased serving the blind, elderly, disabled and homebound communities..
CGR offers over 60 hours weekly of News,Info,Book-Magazine and Newspaper Readings and such programming stated before.
